Visitors & Visiting

On Saturday we cleaned our flat in the morning and then Max and Lilli went up to Doris and Al's in the afternoon for a beer. Christa and I walked up later on. Everyone met up there for a late lunch / early dinner. It was great as always. A huge feed of Hamburger Helper which is pasta with meat and a cheese sauce, salad, and bread cooked by Opa Al. Yum yum! Lilli ate with us - on the boob. :)

On Sunday morning we were woken by visitors - at 9.45am!!! Hahaha. Who has the best baby in the world??? Us!!! How spoilt are we?! Technically we were woken at 8.45 though because my Dad rang then to say hi but we went back to sleep after talking to him. He has been getting his racecar ready to go to Australia in September for the Australian Muscle Car Masters again (we went over in 2007). So our visitors were Ted and his daughter Sophie. Ted and his wife Gaby are friends of the family. Ted is originally from New Orleans so obviously he speaks english. We had a lovely visit and they brought heaps of presents including something for Max and I so we were all spoilt! Max got a bottle of whiskey and I got a box of Reber chocolates (famous chocolates from Bad Reichenhall). Lilli got some really great presents - a gorgeous little outfit, a box set of Winnie the Pooh books in english and a box set of 12 of the first ever Little Golden Books!! They are a collectors edition and in new condition!!! Ted and Gaby were given them for Sophie when she was little but as they lived Germany and were reading to her only in German at the time, they have never been read so basically they are brand new. Wow.

In the afternoon Christa and Doris took Lilli for a walk and Max and I caught up on some computer stuff and then met them up at Doris' house. Lilli enjoyed her walked but didn't stay in her stroller so it was lucky that we had given them the frontpack just in case. She enjoyed walking around the lake with Oma in her frontpack and was very well behaved the whole time. Then she had a sleep in her stroller and had pretty much just woken up when we got there. It was so gorgeous when we walked round the corner and she saw us, she was all excited and had a great big smile on her face. Gorgeous little girl! I gave her a feed and she was as good as gold.

Barbera putting Lilli's feet on the grass - check out the look on her face! :D

We decided to order Chinese for dinner and so everyone came up and we put in our order to be delivered. 9pm was approaching and still no chinese so we phoned them back and the rotten sods hadn't even started our order as they were busy and then asked if we could we come and pick it up instead of having it delivered!! Needless to say Max told him where to go and we won't be having chinese from the Lucky Palace again!! What a dummy - we had ordered about 100 euros worth of food! Max and I decided that we had better just get Lilli home to bed so we left with no dinner but then called friends who have a restaurant and asked if Max could pick up some schnitzel and chips. We shared our meals with Christa and her Max as they had missed out on the Chinese too! Next time we will all just order direct from Toni & Ulli!!!

Yesterday I was trying to quickly make a banana cake and just threw the ingredients in without really taking much notice and when I had finished the mixture I thought it looked a bit runny but chucked it in the pan anyway and into the oven as Lilli was awake and not wanting to be on her playgym. The cake came out moist and sort of cheese cakey in texture if you can imagine that - it definitely wasn't a cake! I was gutted. Then I clicked that the recipe said 2 cups of milk instead of 2 tablesppons!! As it turns out it was still yummy but is more of a desert than a cake. Everyone loved it!! LOL. Max finished work early so we sorted some of the stuff we have to do for his immigration application. There is so much to do! Lilli was squealing and chatting while we did it and then trying to help Mummy type on the computer. Hahaha!

Tonight I cooked a tuna casserole and we ate over at Christa's place with little Max, Doris, and Christa. They all loved my tuna casserole which was great. Lilli was playing in her bouncer/rocker and having a great time while we were eating and then she said MA!!! I was like, oohh Lilli just said ma. Max looked at me like I've been sitting there everyday going Mama Mama and I said uh uh, I don't do :)that, and she isn't saying it like Mama she is just vocalising the sound ma. So he starts saying to her Baba which is what babies say for Papa when they are learning to talk over here. Hehe. So our clever little girl is now saying Ma, Ga, and Na. :D After dinner I had a bath with Lilli and we played with her little yellow rubber ducky and her fish thermometer. While we were in the bath Max jumped on the scales with Lilli's towel in his hands so that when she got out of the bath he could hop back on the scales and get her naked weight. She was 8.6 kilos - it's funny because at dinner Christa was saying that she thought Lilli must be close to 9 kilos now. :)

Lilli's other achievements:

She is rotating her little ankles. So cute! She stretches her little legs straight out and winds her little feet round and round. Gorgeous!

She sits on her own for quite a few seconds at a time.

Lilli and I play the high five game (give me 5, up high, to the side, down low). She does all the actions - clever little darling. We started playing this game a few weeks ago and I forgot to mention it until now.

Weight: 8.6kg!!!
