Catching up to Xmas 2010! Getting there slowly!

Can you believe she fell asleep on the floor whilst watching Uncle Toot lying on the couch across the room?!  I can't get her to sleep in her bed but he can lie on the couch and talk to her and she just drops off on the floor.  Maybe I should ask him to start putting her to bed for me.  ;)

Hmm, yep even Dad can get her to sleep!  The next night we went down to Dad and Trish's for dinner and Dad took a tired Lilli off me so that I could finish my dinner.  When they didn't come back for ages Trish and I decided to go see what had happened to them and this is what we found!  Hahaha.

Lilli and Nana were having a great time on the scooter!

Can't believe I nearly forgot to mention that Lilli is slowly weaning herself off the boob!!  She has asked for it once on the 20th and 21st December and twice on the 22nd!  How great is that?!  It means that I have been able to have a glass of wine or 2!  :)

I gave her a quick drink on Christmas Eve because she seemed really unsettled and we were away from home but really I think it was probably not the best idea I've ever had.  We will go back to distracting her instead. 

Last Playcentre For 2010

We had a great time at playcentre today. As soon as we got there Lilli played with bubbles and then Lilli got on the outside rocking horse and rocked it herself! She was on the 'regular' rocking horse inside just beforehand and I think this helped her get the outside one going. She played with all the musical instruments and then had a go with a poi. The kids had a picnic morning tea outside on a blanket and then painted canvases.

Arrrgggh!! How To Get Her To Stay In Bed At Bedtime...

So the big bed is great, no worrying about her falling out, only problem now is how to keep her in!!!  Frustrating...    :)

Ohhh, look at my tiny girl in her big bed - yes it took about 45 minutes to get her to stay there for her afternoon nap!

So for the meantime we have gotten a mattress from Mum's to use on the floor until I get a proper bed sorted out for Lilli!!  I left the cot up just in case we had any problems with the new bed.  Lilli's so great though, she went to bed with the usual carry on and got in and out heaps but she eventually went to sleep.  Check it out...

Mummy actually had a day to herself today!  I went car racing with Dad and left Lilli at Mum's with the girls - Olivia and Jessica.  Lilli loves them and had an awesome day.

Today we went to the racing - a little family outing.  We had a great day and Lilli had a sleep in the stroller amidst all the cars and noise!  Hahaha.  She's very at home at the racing, as you will see in the photo below.

Ok, the case will do - for now...

Tonight we were having a hard time getting Lilli to go to bed - just for a change.  :)  Anyway, we were in the lounge and heard a thump and I looked at Max and said 'surely she hasn't jumped out of the cot!'.  We both went rushing in and yes, there was Lilli standing on the floor as large as life.  We put her back in and went away to discuss what to do for a second.  Then Max sneaked back in and saw her getting out again.  She put one hand on each side of the corner of her cot and climbed out!! 

Obviously I went in and pulled the front 'gate' off the cot for the night, then we put blankets on the floor to soften her landing if she fell out.  She thought it was marvellous being able to get in and out of bed by herself but I have to say it doesn't make getting her to bed any easier!  That was how she slept for the night and I consulted with Mum as to what to do.  Tomorrow we will have to sort it out but at least we know she wont climb out again tonight.
