Wearing everything on her head - apart from her hat!

Tuesday after her haircut I put her hair up in the cute little ponytail again. Oh isn't she gorgeous?!

Look at that face! :)

After I got her dressed Lilli got up and looked for her bubba (doll). She was calling her 'baby' just like I call her when I'm talking to her. Haha, how cute is that.

We headed out to the farm later in the morning and went down to feed the animals. Lilli decided that she wanted to wear the bucket on her head.

Talking to Spotty the Moo.

Going in for a huge cuddle with Lenny.

A lovely hairdo care of Daddy.

On Wednesday when Nana, Lilli and I were out in the orchard we bumped into Silva who works for Pop so we had a quick chat with him. When we walked away we said bye and so Lilli said 'bye Silva'. Then she said 'see you later'. :)

Thursday was a quiet day and we stayed at home. Lilli stood up at my shelf of precious things that are out of her reach and then she climbed up the side of the shelf and grabbed my little caterpillar and started bashing it on to the glass shelf!! Argggh. I rescued it before it actually broke. She thought it was a huge joke though. Little monkey!. She said to me 'I got it'. She got it alright! Hahaha.

Later she decided to 'wear' the washing basket.

New words on Friday 17 September:

Yeah.

See - when she wants to look at something.

Moon - pointing at the moon!

If there's something to climb, she'll climb it!

On Saturday we went to Botany Town Centre and got Lilli some shoes for summer. While we were in Farmers she was with Nana and I was looking around quickly for a summer sleeping bag for her and she starts calling out 'Mama! Mama!'. Ohhh, so cute. She was really yelling too, it was just adorable. :)

Later that afternoon at Nana's she said 'my new shoes' when she was trying on her new shoes and then she put the cat out just like she sees Nana and Mama doing.

On Sunday her new words were stuck and pizza. She says 'peeba'. :)

Today we went out to the farm again and Lilli said 'twistees' and 'love you'. I had thought she had told me she loved me too once or twice a few days ago but today Nana heard her too and it was definitely love you that she said to me. That must be one of the best moments in every mothers life when you hear your baby tell you they love you!! Leaving Nana's - she was knackered and fell asleep before we even got to the end of the driveway!

Wearing Daddy's work socks and Mummy's hat - backwards of course - just before getting into the shower. :)

All clean and changed into her jammies, she's on her beanbag with a blanket, favourite dvd, wo-wo soft toy, wiggles box, and book.

First Haircut!! First prang on the quad bike!!

Today we went off to Playcentre. Lilli had a go with the lawnmower. Cute.

Then she went to get on this little bike that belonged to one of the other little girls but it was sitting at the top of a small but steep hill in the playground and unfortunately the way she got on it she ended up going backwards instead of forwards. I was running to her but she rolled down the steep little hill and as I leapt for her the bike dug in and flipped and she ended up doing a bit of a somersault onto the grass. That was one of the scariest moments of my life so far! But I picked her up and all was ok, she didn't even really cry. Haha. Whew!!

The group activity was to make cookies and all the kids took turns to go up and decorate their cookie. Here is Lilli's one.

In the afternoon I took Lilli up to Jo's for her first haircut!!!

She was so good, she looked at books and magazines and licked her iceblock the whole time Jo was cutting her hair. She normally doesn't give littlies an actual style for their first haircut because it's usually too hard to keep them still but check out Lilli's below...

Today's new words were:

Bear - when we were looking at Maiah's pet magazine while she was getting her haircut.

Shaker

Cracker

Later that afternoon we were out at Nana's place and we decided to put the quad away for Pops before it rained so off Lilli and I went. Instead of going straight into the shed I thought that I'd just go past it and turn around to come back in so that she got a little more time on the bike. I reversed up to the gate going into the orchard and was trying to get it out of reverse so I let go of the right handlebar so that I could hold Lilli and use my left hand to hold the handbrake on as well as the foot brake while I heaved with my left foot to get in into neutral (it's very hard). As I was holding her with my right hand Lilli reached out and grabbed the accelerator but unfrotunately I hadn't gotten it into neutral yet. We shot backwards into the gate and I said 'Oh no, Lilli Lilli Lilli, no!! Hahaha. She let go and the gate was bent and the bike was bent but we were both ok.

How embarassing! I had to take Pop down and show him what we'd done. Could've been bad but it wasn't and I was covering her if the gate had come over the bike - it would've got me not her and that's the main thing. When Nana came down Lilli was telling her what happened and she held up her hand in the stop sign and said 'tohp!'. Anyway looking back it was really quite funny. :)

Having a lie down when we got home. I thought she would have pulled out the little pony tail by now but she didn't. :)

Blowing Milk Bubbles

Little ratbag at the top of her new 'mountain'. On Saturday we went to the Waiuku Cosmopolitan Club for dinner for the first time after joining. Lilli loved it but she was a bit tired so she had had enough pretty early so Max and I took her home as soon as we'd finished our meal.

New spot for hiding whilst having a poo or just getting up to mischief. :)

Having a quick relax on the couch before getting dressed to go to Playcentre on Monday morning.

Doing her first painting!! At playcentre on 06 September 2010.

On Wednesday 08 September her new word was car. She pronounces it ca'. So cute.

Thursday we had lots of new words...

Pull - as I help her take the lids off her felt tip pens.

Hot - Pointing at the oven after I have told her to stay back as it's hot.

Where's mi - asking where the cat is.

Oh well. Cheers. Nye nyes - when she was pretending to lie down for a nap on the couch.

Also on Thursday 10 September. Hi Mama. No I'm not going to touch the computer!...

5 minutes later...

Sheepish grin as she sees she's been caught out!!

She recovers well...

After she had finished on the computer we had lunch. I gave her a bit of milk in a cup with a straw and she has learnt how to blow bubbles in it. She's been doing it for a while but this is the first time I've got it on video.

She still loves hats. I leave all mine on the low shelf so that she can get into them when she wants... but she still only wants to wear them backwards!

Sitting on my spare dressing table with her Mi.

Lilli and Daddy taking her bubba for a walk in the stroller.

We finished the week with fish and chips at Nana and Pops' house. Here's Lilli sitting on Pops knee and sharing his food rather than eating her own. :)

Our Little Skyper

Today Lilli went and sat down at the table and opened the laptop, as she does. She uses the mouse now as well and actually managed to click on the icon to log on to our account. Hahaha. So I put up a program with photos on it and kept an eye on her to make sure she didn't delete them all or anything like that! But she happily moved the mouse around and tapped at the keyboard as she has done before. Then, she started talking at the screen and was having a good old chat with it. It only took me a minute to click that she was 'skyping'.

The new word today is cheese.

Now She's Pointing Her Finger At Us!!

Worn out yesterday after a big run around outside.

My style icon! She's got the 'wo-wo' handbag, the favourite cardboard box, and the hat on backwards.

Being a hobo in her cot.

We went off to Plunket today to have her 18 month checkup. Lilli blew the nurse away with how friendly and sociable she is and how clever. She told me again how advanced Lilli is and we talked about her climbing and things. I got a few helpful hints and ideas from her too.

Lilli's stats:

Height: 80cm

Weight: 11.8kg fully clothed

Wow can you believe how quick she is growing?!

When I was getting out lunch ready today she climbed up on to the dining table at one end then walked to the other end and got down on to the chair where she sat down and opened my laptop and starting tapping away on the keys!! Hahaha. What a worry. No, really. It freaks me out when she gets up on the dining table. She's already fallen off once. It's pretty scary. But the computer thing was pretty funny. She's already a real gadget girl like her Mummy.

Standing at the top of her tower ready to jump. I kid you not. Check out the video below as well.

A quick tune on her recorder...

And then some necessary laxing on the couch with some munchies.

Sitting up on the big couch with her feet up on the ottoman just like Mummy. She had to stretch her little legs right out to reach. :)
